Mechanical Design Engineer

Cambridge to £ 60K+ a great package, to include relocation, if needed

A great opportunity for a well qualified and capable Mechanical Design Engineer to join a very successful, friendly and growing R & D company whose technology is pushing the boundaries of what is achievable using nano technology, micro-control, Imaging, and micro systems development for use in mobile devices, medical, autonomous vehicles and wearable technology applications.

As an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, you will need experience of using 3D CAD (Solidworks ideally) in the design of complex mechanisms, jigs and tools, together with in-depth FEA, vibration and dynamic analysis skills and not be a stranger to hand calculations and working from first principles.

You will working with a motivated, highly capable and friendly team, on technology and applications that are interesting, challenging and relevant.

So, to recap, if you are an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer and have –

·An excellent Engineering based academic background

·An insatiable curiosity for how things work and technology in general

·3D CAD (Solidworks) skills for complex systems and mechanisms

·Modelling, simulation and analysis experience

·Experience with FEA and hand calculations

and are comfortable working in an R & D heavy environment, helping to prove ideas and concepts that haven’t been demonstrated before, where you are often working on technologies that will really stretch your idea of novel mechanical design, then this could be the company for you.
